Ingredients

2 cups fresh orange juice (preferably freshly squeezed)

1 cup vanilla ice cream (or orange sorbet for a fruitier twist)

1 cup sparkling water (or lemon-lime soda for added sweetness)

1 tablespoon fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Zest of one orange (for garnish)

Ice cubes (optional)

Instructions

Juicing the Oranges: If using fresh oranges, thoroughly wash them, then cut in half and use a juicer to extract the juice. Strain the juice to remove any pulp or seeds if desired.

Prepare the Glasses: Take four tall glasses and fill them with ice cubes if you prefer your drink chilled.

Mix the Float Base: Pour about ½ cup of fresh orange juice into each glass, leaving some space on top for the ice cream.

Add the Ice Cream: Using an ice cream scoop, place one generous scoop of vanilla ice cream or orange sorbet into each glass, directly on top of the orange juice. Allow the ice cream to slightly melt and create a beautiful float effect.

Add Sparkling Water: Carefully pour sparkling water or lemon-lime soda over the ice cream. Start slowly to avoid overflow. The foamy reaction will be delightful!

Garnish: Finely chop the fresh mint leaves and sprinkle them on top. Add a sprinkle of orange zest for an aromatic finishing touch.

Serve & Enjoy: Serve immediately with a straw and a spoon, and enjoy the refreshing summer nostalgia that each sip brings!
