Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving about 1 cup of the pasta water.
Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Leave about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the skillet.
Brown the Beef: In the same skillet, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-6 minutes. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
Prepare the Alfredo Sauce: Lower the heat and add the heavy cream, beef broth, and cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until the cream cheese has melted and the mixture is well combined. Gradually stir in the cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a little at a time to reach desired consistency.
Combine: Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta thoroughly with the creamy cheese sauce. Stir in the cooked bacon, ensuring it’s well-distributed.
Serve: Serve hot, topped with optional diced pickles and tomatoes for a burger twist. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
