Ingredients

2 scoops of vanilla ice cream (or your favorite flavor)

1 cup of chilled soda (root beer or cola works best)

1/2 cup of whipped cream

1 tablespoon of chocolate or caramel syrup

Maraschino cherries for garnish

Colorful sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

Start by selecting a tall glass for your float. An ice cream soda glass or any tall glass will do.

Place 2 generous scoops of vanilla ice cream into the glass.

Slowly pour the chilled soda over the ice cream to avoid overflow. The combination of soda and ice cream will create a frothy, bubbly effect.

Once you see the fizzing settle, drizzle the chocolate or caramel syrup over the top of the ice cream.

Carefully add a generous dollop of whipped cream on top of the float.

Garnish with a maraschino cherry and sprinkle some colorful sprinkles for an extra touch of fun.

Serve immediately with a straw and ice cream spoon, and enjoy!
