Ingredients

2 lbs chicken wings

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons lemon zest

1 tablespoon freshly cracked black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.

Prepare the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps them crisp up in the oven.

Make the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine honey, lemon juice, lemon zest, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and salt. Whisk until well blended.

Marinate the Wings: Add the chicken wings to the bowl with the marinade. Toss them until they are evenly coated. For best results, let them marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours if you have time).

Prepare for Baking: Drizzle olive oil over the marinated wings and toss gently to coat. Spread the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the Wings: Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through. They should be golden brown and crispy, with an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).

Serve: Once cooked, remove them from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for an added touch of flavor. Serve with additional lemon wedges if desired.

Enjoy: These wings can be served as an appetizer or as part of a main dish alongside your favorite sides, like coleslaw or potato wedges.
