Ingredients

1 cup fresh blueberries (plus extra for garnish)

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

1 cup granulated sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)

4 cups cold water

Ice cubes

Lemon slices (for garnish)

Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

Make the Blueberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, 1 cup of water, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the blueberries start to burst and the mixture thickens slightly, roughly 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Strain the Syrup: Once cooled, strain the blueberry mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing gently with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.

Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix the strained blueberry syrup with the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the remaining 3 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine. Adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar or water if needed.

Chill: Refrigerate the blueberry lemonade for at least 30 minutes or until thoroughly chilled.

Serve: To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the blueberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh blueberries, lemon slices, and mint leaves if desired.

Enjoy: Sip and savor the refreshing taste of your homemade blueberry lemonade!
