1 lb rigatoni pasta

2 medium-sized chicken breasts, diced

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

5 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

Salt and pepper to taste

1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Chopped parsley for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

Cook the Pasta:

    - In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the rigatoni and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

      Sauté the Chicken:

        - In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of the butter. Add the diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

          Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:

            - In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant—be careful not to burn it!

              - Stir in the Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes.

                Combine Sauce with Chicken and Cream:

                  - Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes.

                    - Add in the heavy cream and bring it to a gentle simmer. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

                      Toss in the Pasta and Chicken:

                        - Add the cooked rigatoni and sautéed chicken back to the skillet. Toss everything together, ensuring the pasta is well coated in the garlic butter sauce.

                          Finish with Parmesan:

                            - Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.

                              Serve:
