Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 lb gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)

3 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Balsamic glaze (optional, for drizzling)

Instructions

Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine the steak pieces with olive oil, minced garlic, dried oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the steak evenly and let it marinate for about 15 minutes while you prepare the gnocchi.

Cook the Gnocchi: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the surface, usually about 2-3 minutes. Once cooked, drain and set aside.

Sear the Steak: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated steak bites in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they develop a nicely browned crust and are cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the skillet and let rest.

Sauté Cherry Tomatoes: In the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil if needed, and toss in the halved cherry tomatoes. Sauté them for about 4-5 minutes, or until they start to soften and release their juices.

Combine: Add the cooked gnocchi and seared steak bites back into the skillet with the tomatoes. Toss everything together over medium heat, allowing the flavors to meld for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Add Basil and Cheese: Remove from heat and stir in the chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese until well incorporated.

Serve: Plate your flavorful steak bites and gnocchi, drizzling with balsamic glaze if desired. Enjoy your quick and delicious meal!
