Ingredients

1 (29 oz) can sliced peaches in syrup

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

Vanilla ice cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined (don’t over-mix).

Pour the canned peaches and syrup into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon over the peaches, if using.

Carefully pour the batter over the peaches, ensuring it covers them evenly. Do not stir; the batter will rise while baking.

Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top, if desired.
