Ingredients

1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate cake mix

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

4 large eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup dark chocolate chips

1 cup walnuts or pecans (optional)

1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip, for serving

Chocolate syrup, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray.

In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix and chocolate pudding mix. Whisk together until well combined.

Add the eggs, sour cream, milk, and vegetable oil to the dry mixture. Mix well until the batter is smooth and there are no lumps.

Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and walnuts/pecans (if using).

Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Allow the cake to cool for about 10-15 minutes before serving.

Serve with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top and drizzle with chocolate syrup if desired.
