Ingredients

8 oz penne pasta

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 packet ranch dressing mix

2 cups cream cheese, softened

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked bacon, crumbled

1/2 cup green onions, sliced

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced chicken, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned and cooked through.

Add Flavor: Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix over the cooked chicken. Stir well to coat the chicken evenly.

Make it Creamy: Lower the heat and add the cream cheese to the pan. Pour in the chicken broth and stir until the cream cheese melts and combines with the broth to create a thick and creamy sauce.

Combine: Add the cooked penne pasta to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta in the creamy chicken sauce. Mix in the shredded cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon until everything is well combined and heated through.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and optional fresh parsley. Serve hot and enjoy your creamy crack chicken penne!
