Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients required on the box)

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup crushed peanuts (for topping)

Chocolate syrup (for drizzling)

Instructions

Prepare the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to the package instructions and pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack.

Poke the Cake: Once the cake is completely cool, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake, about 1-inch apart. Make sure to poke all the way to the bottom for maximum flavor infusion.

Prepare Peanut Butter Mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and sweetened condensed milk. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Pour the Mixture: Carefully pour the peanut butter mixture over the poke holes in the cake, allowing it to fill each hole. Spread any remaining mixture evenly across the top of the cake.

Make the Whipped Topping: In another bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract using an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Carefully spread the whipped topping over the peanut butter layer.

Add the Finishing Touches: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave or a double boiler until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the whipped topping. Sprinkle the crushed peanuts on top for added crunch and flavor.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to allow the flavors to meld and the cake to soak up the filling. Serve chilled, drizzled with additional chocolate syrup if desired.
