Ingredients

12 oz pasta (penne or rotini works best)

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced

1 packet ranch seasoning mix

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup cooked bacon, chopped (or bacon bits)

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup green onions, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: parsley for garnish

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet or saucepan over medium heat, add a splash of olive oil. Once hot, add the diced chicken and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Prepare the Sauce: Reduce heat to low and add the ranch seasoning mix, cream cheese, chicken broth, and half of the cheddar cheese to the skillet with the chicken. Stir continuously until the cream cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.

Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and mix until the pasta is well coated with the sauce. Then fold in the chopped bacon and green onions, mixing until evenly distributed.

Serve: Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top and let it melt slightly. Once melted, garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm and enjoy with your family!
